The Center for Justice, Law and Society institutionalised its internship program in 2017 with a focus on research, writing and critical thinking to students who are enthusiastic about the law and social justice from various universities in India and abroad. Since then, CJLS has hosted over 500 interns.
Our internship programme takes a holistic approach to offer mentorship, guidance and training in legal writing, legal research and critical thinking. While interning at CJLS, you will have the opportunity to learn research and writing skills and gain academic experience.The internship program includes interactive reading groups and critical engagement with lawyers and young scholars.
Internships are typically offered for a period of one month. We only offer full-time internships (40 hours per week).

Research assistants are students who work with us part-time (a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week).
Research assistantships are typically offered for six months to one year.
